There is a definitive clear distinction between the two inserts. I was able to get a Works Versa RX in the bag to compare the sound and feel. Koski truly gets that and is one of the reasons this putter line was released. We also had a lengthy discussion on sound=feel. So don't get this confused with their standard #1 shape that they have released in the past. Koske told me him self that this is a new shape for them. The bumpers are definitely rolled off and resemble a popular 009 style Putter as opposed to the traditional odyssey #1 style. The Putter head itself has one single alignment line on the topline with a clean cavity. The Black grip paired with the black shaft paired with a black head gives it a really slick, stealth look at address. I had no problem getting used to the grip as I have played it before and I'm quite comfortable with it.

The other 2 would be the grip that is stock on the Odyssey milled collection series and then the Iomic/Pure grips. Out of all standard/Traditional Grips this is definitely in my top 3. Starting with the grip, Having a classic leather grip on there is a really nice touch. The first time I put into play was immediately after Sunday's round at the Gauntlet where me, Arwin and WuBears tee'd it up for a second time on the saguaro course at Weekopa. I've been able to roll this for a few weeks now.
I'll let you guys do the math here but it's no surprise that a another popular manufacturer has a similar shape to the #7 So naming this one the 001 was just a "thank you" of sorts. It was a really great conversation and I've got some insider knowledge for the knowledge bank that I just would have not received anywhere else.Īs you guys have mentioned that this #1 shape resembles a 009 and I think you guys are spot on. Suffice it to say that we spoke ALOT about putters, and not just Odyssey putters but the putter industry in general. I was lucky enough to play with Koski on Saturdays first round at the gauntlet. It was extremely unexpected and I was truly grateful we are all as you can only imagine, extremely surprised!! It was hard to keep tight on it but wanted to make sure we respected the situation we were put in, given the embargo still was not up yet.
